The Initial Training of the University Administration Services of EPOKA University for the Accessible Tertiary Education in the framework of IDEA (Inclusive tertiary Education in the West Balkans) Erasmus+ Project took place during the time February 22-24, 2022, at University of Donja Gorica, Montenegro (UDG). Ms. Ermela Toçila, Ms. Ilma Çobaj and Ms. Edra Sota represented EPOKA University in a 3-day training provided by the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Participants from 13 Universities, 3 NGOs and 3 Associated Partners gathered in Montenegro. The participants were trained on how to establish accessibility units at their home institutions. A detailed Organization and Management of the University of Athens' Accessibility Unit (following a two-decade experience) was shared to all partners. The project implementation is strongly impacted by the adaption of Assistive Technologies and Access Services. Installation and technical support with AT hardware and software should be offered to all students with various disabilities.
