All candidates for enrolment at the PhD study programs offered by EPOKA are eligible to apply for the “Research Assistant” position.
Graduates of EPOKA have to fulfil the minimum CGPA requirement of at least 3.00 out of 4.00 in order to be eligible to apply for this position whereas for graduates from outside EPOKA, the minimum CGPA requirement is at least 9.00 out of 10.00 or equivalent to it.
Research Assistants are both PhD students and full-time staff members of Epoka University, belonging to the ‘assisting academic staff’ category. They benefit from a 50% discount on their tuition fee throughout the normal duration of their PhD studies.
The Research Assistant is principally engaged in research activities carried out by the Department by collecting data, keeping records, conducting literature and technical research, analyzing data, preparing reports and being engaged in research projects. The Research Assistant also assists lecturers in the courses determined according to the course appointment of the respective study program, and s/he also assists the Department in the management of various day-to-day activities.
At the end of each academic semester, the Research Assistant is subject to the evaluation of his/her performance by the respective Department.
Research Assistants will have the opportunity to be employed as Lecturers at EPOKA based on the satisfactory quantitative and qualitative evaluation of their performance at the end of their PhD studies.
Deadlines for the applications for full-time and part time Research Assistantships for the 2018- 2019 academic year are as follows:
- Applications by candidates: July 06, 2018.
- Announcement of results: July 23, 2018.
Students should submit the Applications Documents to the Admission Office.
The Admission Office checks the submitted documents according to formal criteria; if the all required forms and documents have been submitted, then the Admission Office submits the applicant’s file to the respective Scientific Committee for evaluation.
