On November 23, 2013 members of the Volunteers Foundation for Orphans organization, visited three residences of Orphanage in Durres. With specially fund have gathered, in food event held on November 18, 2013 students bought necessary things for orphanages such as: heating, furnace, shampoo, clothes detergent, baby diapers, fuel for transporting children in hospital in case when they become ill, chocolates and biscuits.
This activity aroused in the hearts of each of the students a sense of compassion, consciousness and sincere words to thank their teachers and everyone else that are caring for them. Students part of the Volunteers Foundation for Orphans organization, said that it was very important to visit such place so that they can share love with children who are in need. “The time we spent with orphan babies was too short; they felt for a few seconds warmth of genuine love of the students in their breasts, so that in the end, the babies wouldn't us to leave. It was an experience that let you walk away with the head back, even though that day has passed, all those babies still stay before our eyes, with hands outstretched that say ‘don’t leave me’”, students said.
The students also had a discussion with the management of the orphanage, who whole-hardheartedly welcomed the visitors. Students thanked Epoka University, students and staff that supported their initiative to collect funds for the Orphanage of Durres.
