‘Tung Ideve’ – youth creativity in motion, has selected the winners

Epoka University aims at creating a student centered learning environment. ‘Tung ideve’ was the newest activity that has attracted the attention of 16 groups of applying students to work on a new startup business idea. On March 27, 2015 the finals were organized. All students presentations were timed and a strict independent jury selection applied. All aspects of the startup project were considered; value proposition, target audiences, funding, key activities, promotion, key partners, other resources and so much more. Interesting is the fact that many projects incorporate the social responsibility elements as sharing the profit for various social causes. Creativity was at the fundaments of all business ideas and this way it gained the interest of external sponsors as well. Mrs. Milena Harito, Albanian Minister for Innovation praised Epoka University students on the occasion. I like your dynamism and you are lucky to study in this University; Minister Harito said while she followed the presentations and interacted with the students. One of the students ideas that particularly gained interest was similar to the one planned to be undertaken by the Albanian Government with the aim to avoid fiscal evasion. This project foresees a promotional activity and a prize draw to be organized involving fiscal receipts in order to increase their usage. One of the key suggestions that Minister Harito shared was that ideas should be brought as near to the reality as possible. The establishment of the Agency for Innovation was confirmed and that is expected to be a booster for startup ideas that are realistic and implementable. Meanwhile, she points out that at the public administration level they lack good project managers. The winning startup idea voted by the jury was ‘FITTIE’, an innovative social network aimed at bringing the public one step closer to the healthier living. Student members of the winning group have the opportunity to incubate and transform this idea to reality through 600 Euro funded by Epoka University and presented to them by Epoka University Rector, Prof. Dr. Remzi Altin. The second best team was elected ‘Key free’ and its members are assured one month of internship at Vodafone. The third place winning idea is ‘Vepro.al’.
‘Tung ideve’ was organized by Innovative Enterprises Students Club.
