Training seminars in the framework of the Erasmus+ project QAinAL

Training seminars were held in Tirana on February 13-15, 2017 at the premises of the European University of Tirana as part of the Erasmus+ project "Strategic Support on Strengthening the Quality Assurance Structures at the Private Higher Education Institutions in Albania” (QAinAL). As partner in QAinAL project, Epoka University was represented in the training seminars by its management, academic and administrative staff members.
The first day, February 13, the training was dedicated to the management and academic staff and it focused on the development of the framework for evaluation of the research conducted by the universities. For this purpose, the project has developed Guidelines and Questionnaire with the common aim of integrating them into the research evaluation systems of the universities taking part in the project.
The second day, February 14, was dedicated to the administrative staff members, the training focusing on the role of administrative staff in internal Quality Assurance and accreditation processes in the private higher education institutions in Albania and Kosova. The Universities of Salzburg, University of Genoa and Politechnica of Bucharest, shared their experiences through the presentations they delivered. In the second session, Epoka University, European University of Tirana, Marin Barleti University, University of New York, Polis University, Akademia Evolucion, Kosova and Pjeter Budi College, Kosova, delivered their presentations on the role of the Administrative staff in the internal quality assurance and accreditation processes. The sessions of this day were concluded with a workshop on “What can be improved to increase the role of administrative staff in the quality assurance (QA) processes”.
The third day, February 15, was dedicated to the students with a special focus on the improvement of the role of students in the quality assurance processes with the aim of their continuous engagement in internal QA procedures.
The activity was finalized with a visit of the project coordinator Prof. Peter Eckl to Epoka University premises to conclude the details that needed to be elaborated as a conclusion of the three-day seminar.
