Epoka University`s students, Morena Sheta – Economics Department and Erilda Duzha – Business Administration Department, following the announcement as winners of the “Copyright Competition” held at the university level on April 16, 2015, represented our university in the final stage of the National Competition on Copyright and other related Rights.
The said competition was held on April 24, 2015, at the Black Box Hall of the University of Arts, in the context of the World Intellectual Property Day, a day which is celebrated worldwide by the member states of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) every April 26. The slogan of the competition was “Piracy damages the culture and integrity of a nation – Lets` respect Copyright in the Republic of Albania”.
The event was organized by the Copyright Office of the Republic of Albania in collaboration and with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education and Sports, as well as academic staff of every university in Tirana and other cities, at the same time with the support of the International Center “Arbnori”, Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tirana and Microsoft/Slovenia.
The Copyright Office of the Republic of Albania organized various activities aiming at raising awareness of the Albanian society on issues related to copyright and challenges of implementation, particularly in the context of our aspiration to join the European Union.
