Epoka League 2016 closed on Friday the third edition as Partizan School was crowned as the winners. Conceived to support universal values of friendship and fair play Epoka League was organized by the Sports club of Epoka University, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Albanian Football Federation, Pepsi, Spring, and Adidas, the international football championship has involved in the competition the Albanian and foreign high school football teams.
In its third edition, Epoka League hosted 32 schools from 4 different countries; Albania, Kosovo. Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Moldova from April 4 to April 8, 2016 in Tirana. The final match between Partizani High School and Technical Economic School of Tirana ended with a narrow victory of 4 to 3 for Partizani High School. While third place was won by A. Z. Çajupi High School, which won against H. M. Dashi 3 to 2.
Several trophies were attributed to other teams and individual players as well. ""Fair Play"" was awarded to H. M. Dashi |High Shcool, while ""International Fair Play"" was awarded to “Mehmet Akif College"" from Gjakova.
'Best goalkeeper' trophy was awarded to Alban Shiba from Technical Economic High School;
'Best defender' trophy was awarded to Algert Beraj from Technical Economic High School;
'Best midfielder’ trophy was awarded to Serkan Basha from Partizani High School;
'Best striker' trophy was awarded to Rejmond Çeliku from Partizani High School;
'Best coach' trophy was awarded to Leonidha Janku from Partizani High School;
'Top scorer' trophy with 24 goals was awarded to Kevin Kosova from the Technical Economic School;
‘International Best Player’ was awarded to Ahmet Selim Ilhan from H. M. Dashi High School
'Best player of the tournament' trophy was awarded to Ralf Zhivanaj from Partizani High School.
Epoka University in the capacity of the organizer of this international championship will continue to work and contribute to the community by educating youngsters with civic and sports values. Best wishes go to the organizers, participants and supporters of the activity.
