A delegation from Epoka University composed of the Rector, Prof. Dr. Remzi Altın and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Güngor Turan participated in the International Balkan Symposium “Friendship and Collaboration in the Balkans”, held in Isparta on October 5-7, 2012. This symposium was organized by Süleyman Demirel University in collaboration with Epoka University, Antalya International University and Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.
In the opening ceremony of this symposium the Rector of Epoka University, Prof. Dr. Remzi Altin in his address appreciated the important role of universities in the analysis of the current situation, future planning and further development of relations between the Balkan countries. He stressed that in addition to the common historical, social and cultural values, the role of universities is very important in terms of cooperation between the Balkan countries.
In his speech, he took the opportunity to present Epoka University, its successes and achievements. “Epoka University is giving its fruit and is already a good example of a new university that can do great things. Epoka University is working hard to increase the quality of education in Albania and has already gained the trust of all Albanians”, he said.
During this symposium the Epoka University Rector, Prof. Dr. Remzi ALTIN met with the Rector of the Suleyman Demirel University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Ibicioğlu. Both Rectors emphasized the importance of the implementation of the existing bilateral memorandum of understanding with a particular focus on student exchange programs.
