Members of “Women’s leadership” club, from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, who participated at “Invent Tomorrow, Impact Today” Challenge Future Competition, organizes on March 28, 2013 an Open Forum titled “How can Youth fight Unemployment”. The Open forum started with brief information on Challenge Future online competition and continued with the presentation of their projects composed by two groups.
The first group was Elena Pici, Jona Hoxhaj and Haris Krasniqi and the second one Mimi Hoxha, mentored by Faculty academician PhD candidate Ms. Englantina Hysa. Epoka University students group participated at this competition under the topic: Make it work! Whose focus was to come up with solutions how youth can fight youth unemployment, considering that 1 billion young people are estimated to be unemployed by the next 10 years.
First team solution was called ‘Activate Employment ‘and it consisted in three main drivers solution: Job Innovators (training young’s to become entrepreneurs), Career Consultancy (organizing career consultancy days) and Professional Education (promoting advantages of professional education and job division and specialization). And Mimi’s solution was “Networking to serve locally, gaining competitive visibility and employment” which consisted to the Albanian solution to respond to youth employment for 13% official unemployment rate and a large number of youngsters entering the market.
Prof. Dr. Güngör Turan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Assist. Prof. Dr. Urmat Ryskulov, Head of the Banking and Finance Department and Assist. Prof.Dr. Mustafa Uc Head of the Business Administration Department was present at this event awarded the Epoka University representatives and delivered certificates for the competition: “Challenge the Future”.
