Meeting the representatives of Prishtina University “Hasan Prishtina”

On June 4, 2015, the Head of International Relations Office, Ms. Alba Gerdeci and the Head of the Research and Projects Office, Ms. Diturije Ismaili accompanied by the members of Students' Council, members of the Projects and International Relations students` club visited Prishtina University “Hasan Prishtina”.

Firstly, the group was welcomed by the Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Arbnor Pajaziti, whom presented briefly the achievements and future projects of Prishtina University and at the same time expressed openness to enhance collaboration in areas of common interest, both in terms of teaching and research as well as cooperation among the students themselves. The representatives of Epoka University in their speech presented some details on the development of the University and pointed out some of the areas where the two universities could cooperate initially, such as exchange of staff and students and joint research activities.

During the meeting, the group from Epoka University had the opportunity to extend its congratulations to the newly elected President of the Students' Union at Prishtina University, Mr. Egzon Daku, whom presented some of the achievements of the union in the past and his projects for the future. He declared that the Union is ready to cooperate on concrete projects with the Students' Council of Epoka University and introduced their ambitious project to create a representative Union of the Albanian students in Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia and Montenegro, aiming to be the voice of the Albanian students in the EAHE.

After the official meeting and the tour of the University campus, the venue was transferred to a more friendly setting, where the students had the possibility to relax and discuss extensively on the how to enhance the cooperation between the Universities, especially at the student level.

After Prishtina city, the group visited the Adem Jashari Memorial, located in Prekaz, consisting of several burned houses and the cemetery of the 56 family members, including women and children, whom were brutally killed in 1998.
