A group of three students from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences composed by Ms. Elena Pici, Jona hoxhaj and Haris Krasniqi, mentored by academician PhD candidate Ms. Englantina Hysa participating at “Invent Tomorrow, Impact Today” Challenge Future competition, which is an international organization present in 213 countries of the world and aims to resolve hundreds of real problems worldwide, has successfully managed to pass in the Semi-Final stage.
Epoka University students group participated at this competition under the topic: Make it work! whose focus was to come up with solutions how youth can fight youth unemployment, considering that 1 billion young people are estimated to be unemployed by the next 10 years. Epoka University solution was called “Activate Employment” and it consisted in three main drivers’ solution: Job Innovators (training young’s to become entrepreneurs), Career Consultancy (organizing career consultancy days) and Professional Education (promoting advantages of professional education and job division and specialization).
This solution was accompanied with an action timeline and key performance indicators for short-term and long-term goals and it was bases on the results of the questioner made to 1000 young people in January 2013.
