Informative Session on Master and PhD study opportunities at Czech universities

On November 24, 2016, Epoka University hosted an Informative Session on Master and PhD study opportunities at Czech universities delivered by Ms. Radka Calabkova, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Czech Republic to Tirana and Mr. Lubomir Majernik, Specialist at the Centre for International Cooperation in the Education Department in Prague.
The Informative Session focused on eligibility requirements and the application process for Master’s and PhD studies at Czech universities, including scholarships offered by the Czech Government as well as Czech universities. Mr. Majernik provided essential information about universities with long-standing reputation, the higher education system, study opportunities and student life in the Czech Republic. EU statistics list the Czech Republic as the 12th most popular destination for Erasmus students in Europe.
During her presentation, Ms. Calabkova provided information about government scholarship opportunities, scholarships awarded under bilateral international agreements and Visegrad scholarships. The main focus was on scholarships offered by the Czech Government within the framework of the Foreign Development Assistance Programme which are designed to cover Master and Doctoral study programs.
Czech universities represent an attractive option for students graduated from Epoka University as an important number of Epoka alumni have continued or are currently pursuing their further studies at Czech universities, most often based on scholarship schemes.
