On November 19, 2013, Epoka University and IAESTE Albania, which is a co-operating institution of the “The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience” (IAESTE) founded in 1948 at Imperial College, London as an independent, non-profit, and non-political student exchange organization, joined in a bilateral agreement of cooperation aiming at providing the students in technical degrees at Epoka University (primarily Science, Engineering and the applied arts) with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long or short term projects.
IAESTE works with over 80 countries and exchanging over 4000 traineeships each year worldwide, being the largest organization of its kind in the world. Since its inception, IAESTE has exchanged more than 350,000 students worldwide, playing a key role in the development of young engineers and scientists.
The purpose of the cooperation between IAESTE Albania and Epoka University is to promote the interest of exchanging students for internship experience in the respective institutions, to deepen the understanding of the innovative and research activities of the respective institutions and to open an IAESTE office at the Epoka University that will support students with information and providing them with assistance regarding internships offers, exchange procedures and other activities that the institutions will organize.
