Students and academic staff members of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences participated on Monday, March 18, 2013 in a town hall meeting with the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, which was held at the premises of the private Albanian University with students and lecturers of economy, discussing with them about business environment and employment. Epoka University was represented by four academic members of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Ms. Erinda Imeraj, Ms. Sonila Gruda and students from the “Entrepreneurs Club”, Ms. Jonida Balliu, Ms. Jonada Tafa, Ms. Xhensila Beka, Ms. Franceska Beqiri and Mr. Ardit Dobrovoda.
The discussion with the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, was mainly focused on the creation of a better climate for the business in Albania and finding ways how to further develop employment opportunities for all Albanians. “The flat tax makes possible that the capital is efficiently used in the economy, for investment, by entrepreneurs and employers. This, coupled with the reduction of bureaucracy by simplifying procedures and set time limits for licenses, authorizations and registrations, will allow businesses and entrepreneurs to boost our economy”, Prime Minister Berisha said during his discussion with the students.
Among the questions directed to the Prime Minister, Ms. Erinda Imeraj asked the Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha regarding the governmental strategies or programs concerning what we would call the New Entrepreneurs of Albania, which is young people having innovative ideas to invest, energetic and ready to risk but lacking financing support, that would for sure open new fronts for additional employment opportunities in Albania. The Prime Minister listed some of the main reforms his government has implemented in this perspective and claimed that much more will be done in the context of Start-up businesses.
This is the second town hall meeting that Prime Minister, Prof. Dr. Sali Berisha, in the context of the election campaign, organizes with Albanian private and public university students, discussing with them about governmental strategies.
