Epoka University supports "Symphony of Life '

On March 1, 2015, 'New Horizons' Cultural Association supported by Epoka University and the Turkish Colleges in Albania has organized the cultural activity 'Symphony of life'. The Executive Director of ‘New Horizons’, Ms. Irma Gjana is creating a tradition of the activity. In fact, this was the 6th edition of the event, which celebrates the achievements of women worldwide while the week of the show coincides with the International Women's Day.

‘Symphony of Life’ is an artistic program dedicated to the figure of woman and its significance. The purpose of this activity is to highlight the role and importance of woman as key contributor to healthy nation; by performance artists, actors and singers invited it notes, explores and expands the value and role of women. Participants in this activity are women active in various areas of life: intellectual, artists, academics, bureaucrats, doctors, teachers etc.

With a view to being not just a wishing feast card on the eve of 7 and 8 March, but also an appreciation and encouragement of women's role in establishing peace and understanding underlying values ​​of humanity, organizers this year addressed guests with the message ‘I am peace’.

In order to promote the values, as a tradition already established by this association, this year the Cultural Center ‘ New Horizons’ granted the prize "Golden Rose" for her contribution to the Albanian Theatre and Cinema, "Honor the Nation" Artist, Mrs. Tinka Kurti; Mrs. Melda Pencapligil, Turkish citizen who funded the planting of 102 olive trees in the 102 anniversary of Independence as a sign of peace and friendship between the two nations as well as Mrs. Emanuela Pepkola Zaimi, founder and director of the association "Down Syndrome Albania".

Multiple performances, artistic pieces, music, songs, dances dedicated to mothers and teachers were performed at the Opera and Theatre of Tirana hall scene congregated by women and girls, personalities from different fields of art, culture, education, politics and academic life . A special moment of the program was the interpretation of the great actor, Albanian Scenic Master, Mirush Kabashi who performed 'Ofelia’ poem. Part of the show was as well the well known singer Rosela Gjylbegu; prima ballerina of the Opera House of Tirana, Enada Hoxha; "Tirana coffee concert 'band; Turgut Ozal Durres folk Ensemble and many others.

The show was professionally moderated by Ms. Elena Pici, the best student of last year at Epoka University. Our University is proud to have contributed to reaching the goals of the activity.
