Representatives from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Epoka University, Mrs. Alba Kruja, Mrs. Eglantina Hysa and Mr. Nertil Mera participated at the roundtable discussion organized by the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA), as an initiative to create a form of cooperation between the business community and universities that offer doctoral studies defined as “Investment Observatory”. The roundtable discussion organized by AIDA brought together the Universities, Albanian Institute of Science, Chamber of Commerce, representatives from Business Societies and representatives from Business Albania and other Counseling Agencies.
The main goal of this collaboration was the orientation of PhD and Master studies in response to business requirements and current needs of Albania, as well as the distribution and use of knowledge, research and development that is available in universities. Participants in this roundtable discussion proposed a tighter relationship between universities and businesses, which according to them should complement each other.
The participants noted that businesses should open the doors to the university students offering them internship programs where students can use their knowledge in the real work. The other part of discussion focused on the necessity of the universities to direct their research towards the business needs doing analysis on the public investments, sectoral analysis and analysis on the business level. All the parties in the discussion welcomed this initiative proposing another meeting that would lead to more concrete results.
