Epoka University in collaboration with San Rocco and Atelier Albania organized San Rocco Summer School 2014. The Ministry of Education and Sports appointed as the main aim of the workshop, the design of twelve new schools/community centers in Tirana-Durres area, as part of a program for boosting the Albanian educational facilities.
On Monday, the vice minister of Ministry of Education, Mr. Arbi Mazniku opened the event, claiming the importance and the priority of the government for the undergoing project to revitalize the education infrastructure. The mentors of SRSS are members of the San Rocco editorial board and colleagues from different universities.
50 participants from different countries, including 11 students from Epoka University, have a diverse education background, which create an intensive and productive discourse in terms of design proposal. At the end of the summer school there will be a jury that will evaluate the final projects.
