After three months of permanent work, yesterday it was submitted to the participants portal of the European Commission the project application titled “Promoting Graduate Skills and Employability at the Albanian Labor Market: Capacity Building and Development of Albanian HEI’s”-PGSEAL for the Erasmus+ Call under the component of Capacity Building in Higher Education.
The wider aim of this project is is to promote the skills and employability of HEI graduates in Albania in a manner consistent with labor market demands by strengthening the cooperation between HEIs and labor market actors. This objective is in line with the Albanian national priority D “Developing the Higher Education sector within society at large” with the specific focus of “University-enterprise cooperation, employability of graduates.”
The project includes 16 partners for Albania and EU countries. The main beneficiaries are the HEIs from Albania as follows: Epoka University as a leading institution, University of Shkodra “Luigj Gurakuqi”, University of Durrës “Aleksandër Moisiu”, University of Korça “Fan Noli”, Marin Barleti University and Polis University, while at the other side are the governmental orginisations such as INSTAT, AIDA, Ministry of Education and Sport as well as the Union of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Albania, and the last category engaged in this project are NGOs such as Economic Society of Albania (ESA) and PROTIK. The EU partners include the University of Uppsala-Sweden, University of Salzburg-Austria, University of Applied Sceinces in Mainz-Germany and the Politechnic University of Bari in Italy.
The total applied budget was 869 529 Euro for the period of three years. The working group is composed of academic and adminsitrative staff as following: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eglantina Hysa, Dr. Alba Kruja, Dr. Diturije Ismaili, Dr. Reina Zenelaj, Dr. Timothy Hagen, PhD cand. Erinda Imeraj, MSc Marsela Fejzaj, MSc Mergleda Hodaj, and Mr. Loren Senja, whereas the project manager is Prof. Dr. Gungor Turan.
In addition Epoka University went in partnership in five other Erasmus+ project consortiums under the same component CBHE. Below are the list of the projects proposals where Epoka has endorsed in this Call:
