Highest International Ranking

Epoka University is ranked as Albania’s number one University according to 4ICU (4 International Universities and Colleges) 2012 University Web Rankings. 

This ranking provides a popularity of world Universities and Colleges based upon the popularity of their websites. This is intended to help international students and academic staff to understand how popular a specific University/College is in a foreign country.

Some 22,000 universities in the world are studied and included on the list. The list is topped as usual by the best-known US universities – MIT, Harvard, Berkeley and Stanford.

This confirms the fact that Epoka University is indeed a prominent university in Albania and that is gaining more international recognition. 

The ranking is highly important for Epoka University, because it reflects the University’s efforts to conduct high-quality instruction and research.

A Strong International Focus

At the same time, Epoka is a top university in attracting international students. Epoka has 122 students from abroad, which makes it the University with the highest number of international students in Albania.

The majority of international students are from Turkey, Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro. The trend also shows growth in the popularity of study programs at Epoka University.

MoU’s and Memberships

Epoka University has a strong international focus and is the only Albanian University that is a member of GEDC (Global Engineering Deans Council) and the World Universities Congress.

Today 122 international students and staff from 15 countries study and work here, while the University’s study abroad student exchange program enables our students to spend one or two semesters, at one of the University’s more than 40 university exchange partners around the world.

Conjoint Degrees and Interdisciplinary Studies

As well as being Albania’s most international University, Epoka it has a strong focus on quality with selective entry to all programs.

At Epoka University there are unique opportunities for interdisciplinary studies and conjoint degrees.

Epoka University and Leeds Metropolitan University (LMU) in United Kingdom, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on International Educational Cooperation envisaging the offering of dual-degree programs for all Epoka students studying in the Departments of Business Administration, Economics, Banking and Finance, Political Science and International Relations as well as in Business Informatics.

Top Research Output

Epoka University is Albania’s eminent research-led institution. During the Academic year 2010-2011 Epoka’s academicians have published 120 papers in important International Scientific Journals.

This offers students unparalleled opportunities to be taught and supervised by many of the very best academics in the country.
