From November 14th through November 19th, 2016, Dr. Alexander Zielonka, professor at the University of Applied Science in Mainz, Germany visited Epoka University in the framework of the Staff Mobility for Teaching, Erasmus+ Programme. Since December 2015, Epoka University has an agreement with the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz, Germany in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.
Dr. Alexander Zielonka has worked for ten years at IBM, where he dealt with Finance, Controlling and Accounting, and since a year now he is lecturing at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz.
During his visit at Epoka University Dr. Zielonka held lecturers with both, Bachelor and Master’s students, focusing in the International Controlling. This collaboration was profitable both for Epoka students and Dr. Zielonka, since it was a great opportunity for sharing experiences, ideas, methodology and practical steps towards the future.
Dr. Zielonka also had a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Xhimi Hysa, Head of the Department of Business Administration and Ms. Lorela Kokalari, in Charge of the International Relations Office of Epoka University. This meeting concentrated on the possibilities of expanding the agreement that both institutions have in the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme. During the meeting, it was emphasized the opportunity to expand the Memorandum of Understanding for Student Exchange Programs in Business Informatics. Business Informatics students who have a German Proficiency Certificate (GPC), will be able to take informatics oriented courses and Exchange studies in German language at the University of Applied Sciences in Mainz.
Epoka University supports international coordination with other universities and institutions and fosters the materialization of the university’s international policy.
