Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sokol Dervishi attended as invited speaker in the Workshop: "Energy efficient housing for sustainable development" organized by the ministry of Urban Development and Tourism and Ministry of Energy and Industry in cooperation with the National Housing Agency, IFC-Residential Energy Efficiency program, UNDP and UNECE held on 07 and 08 July 2014, in Hotel ROGNER, Venue – APOLLONIA. The workshop was organized with the special interest of the two respective ministers, Ms. Eglantina Gjermeni and Mr. Damian Gjiknuri. In the workshop it was stated the important role of the academicians and expert in the field towards the successful long process on the Energy Efficiency Buildings program in Albania.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dervishi focused on the issues of Building Energy Certificates in Albania by introducing a comparative study of Thermal Energy Performance Calculations: Steady State vs Dynamic Simulation. He analysed the recent critics on Energy Certification and the potential errors in different stages of the process. In the end, he showed a scientific study of Thermal Energy Performance of traditional villas in Tirana via dynamic simulation.
