On 18-19 April 2015, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bilgin, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering, delivered his speech as an invited keynote speaker in the “Second International Conference on Advances in Civil, Structural and Construction Engineering – CSCE”, which was held in Rome, Italy. In this conference, researchers from 44 different countries, including Albania, Belgium, Brazil, France, Germany, Italy, Turkey, United Kingdom, etc., presented their works.
Dr. Bilgin presented a speech about “Evaluation of Analysis Procedures for Seismic Performance Assessment of Building Structures”. He discussed about new developments in the area of Earthquake engineering, comparing the philosophies of strength based and deformation based design. At the end, general conclusions and drawbacks of the procedures were outlined in practical and theoretical applications.
CSCE 2015 is organized by the Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors to bring together innovative academics and industrial experts in the field of Civil, Structural and Construction Engineering to a common forum. The primary goal of the conference was to promote research and developmental activities in Civil, Structural and Construction Engineering. Another goal was promoting scientific information interchange between researchers, developers, engineers, students, and practitioners working around the world.
