Assist. Prof. Frida Pashako, of the Department of Architecture at Epoka University, has successfully completed her teaching mobility period (5 days) at our partner University - the Polytechnic of Bari (POLIBA) in Italy. The said mobility was financed by the European Commissions` Erasmus+ Program.
The academic activities that Assist. Prof. Pashako carried out at the Polytechnic of Bari were related to the theme of building heritage in Albania. Specifically, the teaching program was focused on the complex situation of the historical buildings in terms of preservation and its relationship with the contemporary design and the industrial archaeology. These are actually common fields of research and interests for both the Universities, due to their geographical position and consequently their concrete efforts in promoting values of their local contexts.
The said activities were implemented into a one week workshop titled “Research and design in Albania” with the participation of the Master’s students of POLIBA and an open lecture on “Architectural heritage in Albania: protection and challenges.”
