The Agency for Research, Technology and Innovation (ARTI) is a public, legal institution under the competences of the Council of Ministers and has started its activity in March 2010.
ARTI acts as a coordinating and guiding structure which cooperates with institutions in the field of science and technology for sustainable development of the country, in line with national priorities, development of scientific and technological policies and management of Research and Development (R&D) institutes.
On March 24th, 2015 the Research and Project Office at Epoka University organized and hosted a training session with ARTI representatives. Focused mainly on the new European programme Horizon 2020, European Enterprise Network (EEN), Euraxess Network and the Joint Research Centers (JRC), the training was meant to advance research experiences and capabilities.
At focus were applications and participation in these programmes through gaining the funds available as the main priority for Albania. On the other hand it is of crucial importance for the researchers to participate in the European Networks such as EEN, Euraxess, etc. Referring to the European Strategy and the priorities of the Innovation Union, part of which Horizon 2020 is, the researchers of Epoka University believe that their applications in the European programmes will increase exchange and mobility opportunities relating to European Research Area (ERA).
